What Has Been The Response?

An official announcement of the passing has been attached to the gates of Buckingham Palace, London, an official sign that the Queen's 8 day, and the nation's 30 day mourning are to begin.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that Philip, a carriage driver, had steered the Royal Family for many years. Commonwealth nations such as Australia have issued statements recognising the lengthy, and motivated public service duties of the Prince.

No official funeral arrangements have yet been announced, however the Duke's personal wish was for 'no fuss' meaning that arrangements such as lying in State were not to his liking.
